Vizhipom Vidhaipom is a student-run NGO that was founded in August 2021. Our mission is to help the homeless and those in need around the Tambaram (Chengalpattu District) area. What started as a small initiative to distribute clothes to the homeless has grown into a weekly service, where we also provide food packets and extend our support to the underprivileged.
- Completed over 150 weeks of service, focusing on aiding the homeless community.
- Organized events like Clothing Drives, Tree Plantation Drives, and Health Camps.
- Collaborated with local schools and communities to support development initiatives.
Our recent efforts include a partnership with the Government School of Madambakkam, where we helped renovate the school walls to celebrate its 100th anniversary. In addition to community outreach, we also hosted a Career Guidance Programme and Mobile Awareness Campaign at Kesari Higher Secondary School in Chennai to support students in shaping their future.

Vizhipom Vidhaipom
Climate change is an urgent concern for all of us, seen each year in the form of floods and heat waves. Inspired by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and Chinnakalaivanar Vivek, Vizhipom Vithaipom has started a tree plantation movement to raise awareness and inspire action. By planting trees, we aim to reduce CO₂, improve air quality, and create shade, all while building climate resilience. We're involving the community, especially young people, to nurture these trees for the long term. Our vision is to turn our locality into a green, sustainable space, offering future generations a safer and healthier environment.

I witnessed countless young people who, due to their circumstances, were denied the chance to pursue their dreams and align their skills with the evolving job market. Many schoolchildren struggle with challenges like mobile addiction and limited access to vital information, which hinder their growth. To address these disparities, we launched a heartfelt career guidance program, driven by the dedication of our volunteers. Our mission is to empower these young minds, giving them the tools and opportunities they deserve to shape their futures and break free from the cycle of poverty.
